When it comes to my wardrobe, I like a minimal collection of pieces. I don’t shop often, I’m a strange breed of woman I guess, but I only shop about 2-3 times a year. When I do, I know exactly what I have in mind, what gap in my wardrobe I’m looking to fill or which item I need to replace with something new. I’m not a fan a fast fashion. I like to buy key pieces that are high quality and will last me for years to come. Things that I can mix and match with everything else in my closet. One of the things I buy most are pieces of linen clothing, particularly linen dresses. I find them so versatile and so incredibly comfortable! They can be dressed down with tights and boots in the winter or turned into a gorgeous outfit for a date night with a pair of heels and beautifully styled hair. They hang nicely, they don’t need ironing, they last for year after year if taken care of. I could go on and on about my love of linen so let me just dive into my favourite pieces of womens linen clothing that I’ve been enjoying this year.
Son De Flor Black Classic Dress
If there is one thing I treasure it is my linen dress collection and one of the most worn pieces out of all of my dresses is this black ‘Classic’ dress from Son De Flor. I absolutely love this brand and have a number of their dresses and would recommend them to anyone! The are amazing quality, beautifully designed, comfy, versatile and swing easily from summer into winter with the addition of a petticoat underneath, some tights and a pair of boots. I LOVE this dress. You might have seen it over the summer appearing on my instagram more than once, I’ve practically been living in it the past couple of months! As far as linen dresses go, this is one of the best. Of course, if black isn’t your colour, they do them in a variety of others 🙂

Linen Petticoat
To layer up my linen dresses and move them into autumn/winter attire, I wear this petticoat underneath which adds a fabulous extra layer of warmth. Also has the added benefit that you don’t have to wash your outer dress as often which keeps it lasting longer and will keep it going for years to come.

Linen Twill Dress
Another favourite in the Son De Flor range is this Twill dress. It is super heavy and luxurious and I absolutely adore it. Always a firm favourite, I wear it as is during summer and layer it up with the petticoat in winter. If this Instagram Post is anything to go by then I’ve had this dress for at least two years and it is still in the nearly the same condition as when I first got it, you really wouldn’t guess it was a couple years old already! I cannot recommend the quality of these dresses enough. They really are the perfect gift and you don’t have to worry about size with them either as they are designed to be loose fitting.

Linen Scrunchy
These scrunchies are really cute. Great for dressing up a ponytail rather than just your regular plain hair tie and they come in a whole range of colours to match any outfit. I love these! They’re great for both me and Heidi. Of course, she lovessss getting to wear mummies hair ties.

Linen Dress With Pockets
Another firm favourite in my wardrobe. This is one of my every day dresses that has had SO MUCH use. I love the fact that is has big pockets at the front, they are forever coming in use. Especially when you’re running after a toddler, there is always something you need a pocket for. This is the perfect minimal wear dress that looks classy yet not overstated. I have this linen dress in black and am seriously contemplating added some more colour options of it into my wardrobe. It also looks good with tights, boots and a long tailored coat like this one.

Linen Skirt
I really love a linen skirt. The fabric itself is so breathable and lightweight and it just works so well paired with other things. I really like the style of this skirt but best of all I love that it has pockets. It sounds daft but I really wound up with clothes that don’t have pockets, I always need somewhere to pop my phone at the very least and on the rare occasion that I wear something now that doesn’t have them, I really do feel the loss of them. I know that sounds ridiculous but a pocket on my clothing makes all the difference to me.

Linen Top
The perfect linen top to wear with skirts or trousers. It tucks in beautifully to create a very casual but chic look, perfect on those long summer evenings. Just look at the image above to see how it tucks into a skirt, very sophisticated. Plus, it comes to 20 other colours to match all outfits.

Linen Hair Bow
I adore a hair bow. They just look so much more stylish than a hair clip and I’ve been making use of them all summer long and I have no intention to stop. These linen ones are just gorgeous and make the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. As with everything in this list, there are so many different colour options too so you can find one to suit your tastes.

Linen Face Mask
These are the latest addition to my wardrobe this year. What I love most about these linen face masks is just how breathable they are! I haven’t had any problems whilst wearing them making me feel claustrophobic as I have with some others and I love the array of colours that they come in. My black and light peach masks get the most wear but they come in so many wonderful shades it is great to have the selection to mix and match with your outfit.

Linen Face Mask With Flowers
The only thing better than a linen face mask in my opinion, is a linen face mask that is embroidered with flowers! How sweet are these masks? The come in three neutral colours so you can be sure they won’t clash with any outfit.
